Earlier this week, it was disclosed that locally produced Proton Saga models have begun to arrive at dealerships around Pakistan. The announcement drew a lot of attention from automobile purchasers, who are anxiously awaiting its arrival on the market owing to its low price and comprehensive set of features.

According to a promising declaration made by Al-Haj Proton, the locally built Saga would receive additional features over the Completely Built-Up (CBU) models. Among the features are:
- A center console with an armrest to enhance comfort
- Front parking sensors for parking ease
- Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH) guard for the bonnet
- NVH guard on the boot lid
- A strut tower brace to minimize body-roll
The additional features shall be offered in all Proton Saga variants and add more value to an already ‘strong value for money product.

Saga is available in three models in Pakistan, each with a single-engine option: a naturally-aspirated 1.3-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 94 horsepower and 120 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission (depending on the variant).

Dual front airbags, ISO Fix Child Seat Anchors, a seven-inch Smart Infotainment System, an anti-lock braking system, DRLs, stability control, traction control, parking sensors, and a rear camera are among the standard equipment.

The Proton Saga is a beautiful small car that provides good utility at a reasonable price. Its pricing ranges from Rs. 1,925,000 Pkr to Rs. 2,425,000 Pkr making it Pakistan’s cheapest car.
